Today the battle of the books team had their competition so we had a sub. at twelve forty five the battle of the books team came back and we found out that they won and that they are going to the regionals.

Today we checked out Bird Cam again. We could see the little owlets being fed by their mother, it was kinda weird because they were eating a dead squirrel. That was interesting and disgusting. So  that happend... well we thought it was very interesting though. Otherwise it was a nice day.

In class today we each got a bird book to get research about our bird that we chose. Then we wrote good facts that we found in the books. The reason that we were getting facts was because  we needed them for our writing.  

We chose our birds today! Pretty sure everyone got what they wanted. apparantly, the purple miscito eater, is not purple! seresly, where are our goverments prioritys? 

finishing up our cardbourd shoes in art. saw a lot of birds outside. mainly sparrows. no chidedees for the first time. first chimny swift. ( :  

ralph hardy came to tell us about the book argoes, the oddysy from the point of the dog. he did a name drawing to see who got five free signed copies. they were all third graders but one. (scandel!) he confused cupid with eros!!!!!!!!!! and frogot memphis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he needs to read his greek mythoegy. thats it. nothing to see here. nobody here but us self pressing computer keys. 

we are now studying birds. we go out in the morning and count birds that we see and that are probably out people watching. we are also watching a barred owl and red taild hawk on nests. the owl eggs have all hatched. next week, the hawk eggs will join there parents in life.  

Today we found out that one of the bird cams wich is watching a barred owl , the barred owl had a OWLET basically a BABY OWL!! view attachment ​

 Today we saw a mourning dove and got to hear it call. We went outside and made a sound map of what we heard and we heard a lot of birds. well and cars and people but we heard a vary distinct ''chirp''.
